Privacy Policy — Early Registration
Last updated: 6 August 2026
1.1 Who we are (data controller)
Afterworc OÜ, a private limited company incorporated in the Republic of Estonia, registry code 17554808, VAT No EE103008226, registered address Mäealuse tn 10/2, Mustamäe linnaosa, Tallinn, Harju maakond, 12618, Estonia (“AfterWorc”, “we”, “us”), is the controller of the personal data collected through the early registration page at afterworc.com. Contact for privacy matters: info@afterworc.com.
1.2 What personal data we collect
When you submit the early registration form, we collect:
- Freelancers / professionals: name, e-mail address, phone number, country of residence, professional specialisation and skill stack, experience level, links to portfolio / LinkedIn / GitHub, and your chosen second contact channel (Telegram or WhatsApp).
- Businesses: contact person’s name, work e-mail address, phone number, country, whether you register as a private individual or a company, and — for companies — company name, your position, registry code (optional), website or social profile (optional) and a description of hiring needs (optional).
- Technical data collected automatically: IP address, browser and device information, and cookie data as described in the Cookie Notice.
Providing the data marked as mandatory in the form is necessary to register; without it we cannot add you to the early access list.
1.3 Purposes and legal bases of processing
- Managing your early registration, maintaining the pre-launch waiting list, contacting you about your registration and granting the early-user benefits — necessary for taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Sending you news and marketing communications about AfterWorc — only with your separate consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)); you may withdraw it at any time via the unsubscribe link in every e-mail or by writing to info@afterworc.com.
- Website analytics and improvement — based on your cookie consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Compliance with legal obligations, such as accounting and responding to lawful requests of authorities (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)).
1.4 Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers acting as our processors under data processing agreements: our web hosting and infrastructure provider DigitalOcean, LLC (servers located in EU data centres), our domain and e-mail service provider GoDaddy, and our analytics provider Google (Google Analytics). Where a provider or its group companies are established outside the EU/EEA (DigitalOcean, GoDaddy and Google are U.S. companies), transfers are protected by safeguards under GDPR Chapter V — the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. Data may also be disclosed where required by law.
1.5 How long we keep your data
- Early registration data: until the launch of the AfterWorc platform and the conversion of your early registration into a full account, and in any event no longer than 12 months from collection if the registration is not converted, after which the data is deleted or anonymised.
- Marketing data: until you withdraw your consent or object.
- Technical logs: up to 12 months.
- Data needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims or to comply with legal obligations may be kept for the applicable statutory period.
1.6 Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your data; have it rectified or erased; restrict processing; data portability; object to processing based on legitimate interest; and withdraw any consent at any time (withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal). To exercise your rights, write to info@afterworc.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, www.aki.ee) or the supervisory authority of your habitual residence.
1.7 Security, age limit, automated decisions
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data (access controls, encryption in transit, EU-based hosting). The early registration service is intended for persons aged 18 or over. We do not carry out automated decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal effects concerning you at the early registration stage.
1.8 Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy; the current version is always published at afterworc.com. Material changes will be notified to registered users by e-mail.
